Funding report: Education of young people with sickle cell disease
Funding Report / Guide for Schools Version 1
Abstract
A team of researchers at De Montfort University, University of York and Loughborough University was funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) to report on the experiences of young people with sickle cell disorders in the education system in a multi-method study between 2006 and 2011.
These documents report on the outcomes of the project, the recommendations made to the All Party Parliamentary Group in 2009, and links to further publications and online resources. A "must read" for all schools and policy makers. Here is a link to a Blog Post by Professor Simon Dyson complete with a video talking through this research and the subsequent work.
